WORD MEANING
Bid The price a buyer is willing to offer for shares in a company.

(買い手が喜んで投資する会社の株価。)

Blue Chip Stocks Stocks of leading companies with a reputation for stable growth and earnings.

(安定した成長と収益により定評のある大手企業の株式。)

Bond Certificate issued by companies and governments to their lenders.

(企業や政府が貸し手に発行する証明書。)

Business angel A wealthy person who invests their money in start-ups in return for a percentage ownership.

(所有割合と引き換えに、起業にお金を投資する裕福な人。)

Capital Money and other property of companies used in transacting the business.

(ビジネスの取引に使用される会社の金銭およびその他の財産。)

Capital stock All shares representing ownership of a company.

(会社の所有権を表すすべての株式。)

Commodities Products such as agricultural products & natural resources are traded on a separate authorized commodities exchange.

(農産物や天然資源などの、別の認可された商品取引所で取引される製品。)

Dividend A portion of a company’s earnings is paid to the shareholders/stockholders on a quarterly or annual basis.

(会社の収益の一部は、四半期ごとまたは年ごとに株主に支払われます。)

Equity The value of stocks and shares; the net value of the mortgaged property.

(株式と株式の価値。 抵当財産の正味価値。)

Equities Stocks and shares which represent a portion of the capital of a company.

Futures Contracts to buy or sell securities at a future date.

(将来の日付で証券を売買する契約。)

Insider A person who has access to inside information concerning the company.

(会社に関する内部情報を知ることができる人。)

Insider dealing/trading Buying or selling with the help of information known only to those connected with the business.

(ビジネスに関係する人だけが知っている情報の助けを借りて売買する。)

IPO Initial Public Offering – selling part of a company on the stock market.

(株式公開-株式市場で会社の一部を売る。)

Issue Put into circulation a number of a company’s shares for sale.

(多数の会社の株式を販売します。)

Liabilities The debts and obligations of a company or an individual.

(会社または個人の負債と義務。)

Mortgage Agreement by which a bank or building society lends money for the purchase of property, such as a house or apartment. The property is the security for the loan.

(銀行または建築協会が、家やアパートなどの財産の購入にお金を貸す契約。 プロパティは、ローンのセキュリティです。)

Mutual fund Savings fund that uses cash from a pool of savers to buy securities such as stock, bonds or real estate.

(貯蓄者のプールからの現金を使用して、株式、債券、不動産などの証券を購入する貯蓄基金。)

Option The right to buy and sell certain securities at a specified price and period of time.

(特定の有価証券を指定された価格と期間で売買する権利。)

Par value Nominal face value.

(名目額面。)

Penny stock Shares selling at less than $1 a share.

(1ドル未満で販売されている株。)

Portfolio Various types of securities held by an individual or institution.

(個人または機関が保有するさまざまな種類の証券。)

Securities Transferable certificates showing ownership of stocks, bonds, shares, options, etc.

(株式、債券、株式、オプションなどの所有権を示す譲渡可能な証明書。)

Share The capital of a company is divided into shares which entitle the owner, or shareholder, to a proportion of the profits.

(会社の資本は、所有者または株主に利益の一部を付与する株式に分割されます。)

Share certificate Certificate representing the number of shares owned by an investor.

(投資家が所有する株式数を表す証明書。)

Shareholder Owner of shares. (株式の所有者。)
Speculator Someone who buys and sells stocks and shares in the hope of making a profit through changes in their value.

(価値の変化を通じて利益を上げることを期待して、株を売買する人。)

Stock Shares (a portion of the capital of a business company) held by an investor.

(投資家が保有する事業会社の資本の一部である株式)。

Stockbroker A licensed professional who buys and sells stocks and shares for clients in exchange for a fee called a ‘commission’.

(「コミッション」と呼ばれる手数料と引き換えに、クライアントのために株式を売買する免許を持つ専門家。)

Stockholder A person who owns stocks and shares. (株と株式を所有する人。)
Trader An investor who holds stocks and securities for a short time (minutes, hours or days) with the objective of making

a profit from short-term gains in the market. Investment is generally based on stock price rather than on an evaluation of the company.

(市場で短期的な利益を上げることを目的として、短時間(数分、数時間または数日間)株式と証券を保有する投資家。
通常、投資は会社の評価より株価に基づいて行います。)

Trading session The period during which the Stock Exchange is open for trading.

(証券取引所が取引のために開いている期間。)

Venture capital Money raised by companies to finance new ventures in exchange for a percentage ownership.

(会社が所有割合権と引き換えに新しいベンチャーに融資するために調達したお金。)

Yield Return on investment shown as a percentage.

(投資収益率をパーセントで示します。)
